In 2018 "The Tri-Mecca League", was founded by NBA/WNBA Skills & Shooting Coach Branden Patterson. The Tri-Mecca League is a Pro-Am Basketball League in NYC. The Big Apple has established a reputation of being the pulse of the game of basketball because of player’s unique style of play, flash, and competitive nature. It’s often displayed on the stage of it’s biggest summer leagues like Rucker Park, Dyckman, and West 4th Street. The energy and excitement generated from the crowds are like no other, fueling players to compete at a high level. In recent years, its Pro-Am leagues have seen the decline in its competition level with NBA and college players fearing the league’s black top surfaces may result in injury. This has opened the door for Los Angeles’, "The Drew League", to take over as the country’s most popular and go to Pro-Am league with players competing against some of the best NBA, college, and street ball players. As a former college player from New Jersey, I recognized what players, spectators, and fans from the Tri-State area realized, there is a void and feeling of emptiness in summer basketball leagues. Having worked with some of the NBA’s top players, including Serge Ibaka, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, CJ McCollum, J.R. Smith and more.
